The latest update in LIV Golf is that in a sudden turn of events South Africa’s top-ranked golfers, Louis Oosthuizen, Branden Grace and Charl Schwartzel have all resigned their membership from the PGA Tour in order to play in the Saudi-backed LIV Golf series.
Along with our SA players former world number one and two-time major champion Dustin Johnson, 2017 Masters champion Sergio Garcia, Northern Ireland’s Graeme McDowell and Kevin Na have all decided to resign from the PGA Tour.
The players who chose to participate in the LIV Golf series were given warnings from the PGA Tour and were informed that they will face disciplinary action.
