2 LIV Golf Events, 2 South African Winners
South African’s Charl Schwartzel and Branden Grace have been in the LIV Golf headlines due to their terrific performances at the first 2 LIV Golf events. Schwartzel won the 1st event in England and Grace just won the 2nd event which was on American soil!
These two have taken home some huge cash at these events for their efforts. They both took home over $4 Million (R65 Million) for coming 1st at their respective events! This equals a combined total of $8 Million (R130 Million)!
Charl Schwartzel at The 1st LIV Golf Event
South African Charl Schwartzel won the 1st ever individual stroke-play competition of the LIV Golf Invitational Series at Centurion Golf Club. This victory meant that Schwartzel had earned $4 million (R65 Million) for his three-round, 54-hole event.
The 37 year old shot 7-under at this event and finished one stroke clear of Hennie du Plessis. This meant that Charl had won the richest tournament in golf history!
Schwartzel had collected more money at this single event than he had from the last 4 years combined!
Branden Grace at The 2nd LIV Golf Event
Branden Grace has won the individual title at the 2nd LIV Golf event by shooting a 7-under 65 on Saturday to finish at 13 under in the 54-hole tournament at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.
The 34-year-old South African won $4 million (R65 Million) from the $20 million individual purse for winning the event. To top it all off his Stinger GC team also shared $1,500,00 which meant another $375,000 for Grace which means he earned $4.375,000 for the week.

South African’s have been doing well at LIV Golf events which claim to be “Golf But, Louder” and have been taking golf events to the next level!

The 48-man field in Oregon competed for a $20 million purse, with an additional $5 million prize fund for a team competition. There was no cut and even the last-place finisher earned a payday of $120,000.
LIV Golf seems to be thriving and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. A 3 year contract has been signed with all the host clubs for this year and the next event is set for July 29-31 at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster.
