That’s Not All Folks

LIV Golf also features a team aspect and the four winning members of the team portion of the competition will receive an extra $750,000 on top of their payouts.

How Has This Affected Prize Money In Golf Moving Forwards

The LIV Golf event in Portland had a purse worth $7.5 million more then the most lucrative major on the PGA Tour which is the U.S. Open (Purse – $17.5 million).

This has caused the PGA Tour to announce that for 8 of their events next season there will be a larger purse. These events are going to have purses worth $20 million in total
