Golf is a sport that you can normally only play during the day but there are courses out there geared up for golf at night which makes this experience one for your golf bucket list!
What Is Night Golf?
Night golf is pretty much playing a round of golf at night while the course is being lit by floodlights. Night golf is normally only found in areas where the temperature is still pleasant enough to play when the sun sets (Areas such as Portugal or the Middle East).
What To Expect
Courses lit by floodlights are normally par-3 courses but there are a few championship golf courses out there that have floodlights such as the back nine at the European Tour venue The Montgomerie Maxx Royal in Turkey!
This unique experience is a bit different to golf during the day. Shots tend to be more visible on the fairway but the rough is barely lit up so make sure you’re hitting it straight. Greens are a bit more difficult to read due to the artificial shadows and new sensations take a bit of getting used to which makes for an entertaining round of golf.

The convenience of after hour tee times is what makes night golf attractive and different. Making time for golf can be difficult but this changes the game! Night golf also tends to attract a different crowd of golfers that can be more appealing to a lot of people. This means that more people are trying it out and are giving the awesome sport of golf a go.
